Lisa Tomaselli Beffert

Lisa began her riding career at the ripe old age of 5. She rode as a junior with Eamonn Hughes at Drumnacross Farm and went on to ride in the Open division at Virginia Tech. After turning professional, Lisa taught and rode under the tutelage of Simonetta Meisels at Sleepy Hollow Country Club, and was the head coach of Pace University. She then became Program Director at New Canaan Mounted Troop and head coach of Fairfield University. Since opening Stony Lane in 2011, Lisa has coached winners and champions at the Winter Equestrian Festival, Vermont Summer Festival, and CHJA Medal Finals, among many others.

Lisa’s main goals in establishing Stony Lane were to create a safe and fun professional environment in which riders of all levels can achieve success, and to offer top quality horses and horse care.

Currently, Lisa lives in Danbury, CT with her husband Jason and daughter Ellie, who loves to ride as well! She holds degrees in Animal and Poultry Science and Biology from Virginia Tech, is a USHJA Certified Instructor, and is currently working on her Hunter and Hunter Seat Equitation and Jumper judging cards.

Katherine Weber

Katherine started riding at the age of eight and spent most of her childhood free time in the stable, first as a “barn rat” and then as a working student and groom for Debbie Leutz and Jim Rice on Long Island. While at college, she worked with a number of project horses, including young horses, OTTBs, and a rescued mustang. Following graduation, Katherine competed in the A/O jumper division and invested in jumper prospects while living and working in Manhattan. In 2012, she and her husband purchased a farm, and by 2016 she had turned to horses full-time - developing a sales and import business, and also working for Eric Hasbrouck & Lisa Beffert at the Pavillion Farm.

Katherine graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Applied Economics and Management. She spent nine years in finance and two years in real estate before going all-in on her lifelong passion. Having been on both sides of the industry, Katherine is keenly sensitive to the needs and expectations of her clients. She is thoroughly committed to the well-being of the animals in her care, having served on the board of a local horse rescue. She’s excited to participate in the 2019 Thoroughbred Makeover!
